Council adopts various acts on €5 billion of economy relaunch plan

Brussels, 27/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 27 April, the Council of Ministers adopted without debate various acts which will allow them to make available €5 billion for projects in the field of energy, developing broadband internet and new challenges in rural areas. These are new Community funds to help to relaunch the European economy (EUROPE 9880). The European Parliament is to adopt these texts at its plenary session on Monday 4 to Thursday 7 May in Strasbourg.
