MEPs call for urban mobility policy

Brussels, 27/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - Meeting in plenary on Thursday 23 April, a large majority of the European Parliament adopted (324 votes to 11 and 15 abstentions) the own-initiative report by Gilles Savary (PES, France) on the action plan for urban mobility. Calling on the European Commission to develop an action plan in the field of transport, as foreseen in the Green Paper on the sector (EUROPE 9509), MEPs suggested: - fostering research, innovation and the exchange of good practice...
