Brussels, 27/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament recognises how vitally important it is to combat deforestation in the fight against climate change and against the loss of biodiversity. It calls on the EU to take this into account in its internal policies as well as with a view to concluding the global climate agreement in Copenhagen in December, under the aegis of the United Nations.
