07/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 7 April 2009, EU Member States agreed to definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of wax candles from China. The levy is set company-by-company and can rise as high as €549 per ton of paraffin wax. The new duties will come into force on 15 May 2009 for five years. Some 90% of candles imported into the EU come from China. Chinese candles account for 34% of the EU market. (E.H.)
