Briton to head Europol

Luxembourg, 06/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 6 April, the Home Affairs Ministers of the EU finally reached agreement on the name of the future director of Europol. It will be Britain's Rob Wainwright, 41, currently director the international division of the Serious Organised Crime Agency. He will take over at the helm of Europol for 4 years, replacing the current director, Max-Peter Ratzel of Germany, who will leave office in mid-April.
