€970,000 to help build role of civil society in decentralisation programme

Brussels, 02/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has launched a call to Moroccan non-governmental players and local authorities in the Kingdom for projects which it can fund from the €970,000 reserved for cooperation on decentralisation. Of this sum, €825,000 will go to non-governmental players, NGOs, and the remainder - €145,000 - will aid local authorities enhance their role in the decentralisation process.
