Citizens must be more aware of their rights

Brussels, 02/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - MEPs consider it is urgent to adopt an effective approach to information in order to make European citizens more aware of their rights and duties as EU citizens. An own-initiative report by Urszula Gacek (EPP-ED, Poland), adopted on Thursday 2 April by 578 votes to 64, suggests several measures that would allow the rights of European citizens to be consolidated.
