Brussels, 02/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - As from 1 January 2019, all new buildings will have to produce their own energy on-site. This is the key demand in the report drawn up by Silvia-Adriana Þicãu (PES, RO) on the amended Energy Performance of Buildings Directive adopted on Tuesday 31 March by the European Parliament's energy committee, which is also calling for greater public investment in energy efficient buildings.
