Jurgen R. Thumann is new president of BusinessEurope

Brussels, 26/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - Jürgen R. Thumann, former President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), will succeed Ernest-Antoine Seillière on 1 July to the post of President of BusinessEurope. Mr Thuman was chosen unanimously by the Council of Presidents of BusinessEurope. According to the statutes of the European employers' organisation, the president is elected for a two-year period, renewable once.
