Approval of a qualification awarded by another member state does not allow national arrangements on access to regulated professions to be circumvented

Brussels, 29/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - The mere approval of a qualification by a member state does not mean equivalence of professional training, the Court of Justice ruled on Thursday 29 January. It remains for member states to set the level of qualification necessary to guarantee the quality of professional services provided within their territory (case C-311/06).
