EP/national parliaments interparliamentary meeting on cohesion policy after 2013

Brussels, 28/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - The future of regional policy after 2013 and its key role in achieving sustainable development goals will be discussed during a meeting of the EP regional development committee and its national parliamentary counterparts, in Brussels on 11 February. Debates will focus on shaping regional and local development policy to tackle new challenges such as globalisation, climate change, population ageing and energy efficiency after 2013.
