Louis Michel slams attacks against UNRWA leading to temporary interruption of humanitarian activity in Gaza

Brussels, 12/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - On 9 January, it was in the firmest tones that Louis Michel, Humanitarian Aid Commissioner speaking on behalf of the European Commission, condemned Israeli attacks on humanitarian convoys and personnel of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) that have led to UNRWA having to temporarily break off activity that is vital for bringing assistance to the suffering Palestinian population of Gaza.
