Parliament celebrates tenth anniversary of euro

Brussels, 12/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - To celebrate the euro's 10th anniversary, the European Parliament is organising a plenary debate and ceremony to be held in Strasbourg on Tuesday 13 January. The president of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pöttering, will open the discussion at 10 a.m. before addresses by Jean-Claude Trichet, European Central Bank President, Jean-Claude Juncker, Eurogroup President, and Joaquín Almunia, European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary...
