Czech Presidency priorities, renewed social agenda and internal market all up for discussion in plenary session

Brussels, 12/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will meet in plenary session, under the chairmanship of Mario Sepi, in Brussels on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 January. At 9.00am on Thursday, Czech Deputy Prime Minister with responsibility for European Affairs Alexandr Vondra will present the work programme and priorities of the Czech Presidency of the EU, with particular focus on economic and energy policies and the EU's role and place in the world...
