22/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 19 December, the Commission authorised the acquisition of sole control of the Russian producer of petroleum products, OAO NK Russneft, by the group En+ Group Limited, which is resident in Jersey, in the Channel Islands. The latter is active in a number of sectors, including oil, energy, aluminium, coal and magnesium. In a separate case, the Commission gave its green light to the acquisition of sole control of WSW Energie & Wasser AG by Electrabel Deutschland AG (which is owned by the French group GdF Suez) and WSW Wuppertaler Stadtwerke GmbH. Both of the purchasers and the company they bought are subject to German law. Both operations were examined under the simplified procedure. (C.D./trans.fl)
