22/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 19 December, the European Commission authorised a tax incentive proposed by the Italian authorities to support film production. The tax credit in question, of a total maximum sum of 104 million euros, will, according to the Commission, benefit from a derogation to the rules on State aid, as it is in line with the rules of the 2001 communication on cinema.
