Parliament wants rapid financial commitment in favour of 12 pilot carbon capture and storage plants

Brussels, 21/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - As part of Community climate policy, the European Parliament wants swift, direct financial commitment in favour of 12 pilot installations for carbon capture and storage (CSC), a technology that allows the sustainable use of fossil fuels for electricity generation, as proposed by the European Council in March 2007 and which should be built by 2015.
