12/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - Last week, the European Commission presented the Council of Ministers of the EU with a draft directive on the common system of taxation applicable in the case of parent companies and subsidiaries of different member states (Codified version for the 23 July 1990 Council's directive 90/435/EEC). The future directive will integrate all modifications included in the original directive. The Commission's approach exclusively seeks to clarify the substance of the 1990 directive and all its amendments will be included in their entirety. Only formal amendments included in the codification operation will be added.
