Commission paves way to bilateral trade negotiations with Colombia and Peru

Brussels, 12/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - Colombian and Peruvian foreign ministers were in Brussels on Tuesday 11 November for a meeting with the European commissioner for external relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner. At the meeting, they reaffirmed their determination to negotiate bilateral trade agreements with the European Union (EUROPE 9765). The Commission is soon expected to take a formal note of the internal divisions blocking any hopes of a block negotiation with the four member countries...
