07/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - ACI Europe (Airports Council International) and Eurocontrol (European organisation for the safety of air navigation) signed on Tuesday 28 October a memorandum of understanding which, among other things, calls for more concerted decision-making between airport operators, airline companies and air service providers. According to ACI, coordination of the various players involved in the airport sector would make it possible to use airport services and installations to best advantage and would therefore reduce fuel consumption and emissions on the ground and in the air. Signing of the agreement took place at the Airport Exchange Conference organised by ACI-Europe in Berlin. (A.By./transl.jl)
