ECB lowers eurozone interest rates to allow economy to breathe

Brussels, 06/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - For the second time in one month, the European Central Bank (ECB) decided, on Thursday 6 November, to reduce the eurozone interest rates by 50 basis points. Thus, the minimum bid rate on the main refinancing operations (determining the level of credit for enterprise and individuals) will be decreased to 3.25%, and the interest rates on the marginal lending facility and deposit facility will be 3.75% and 2.75% respectively.
