Brussels, 05/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 5 November, the Commission adopted the study on EU/Russia relations commissioned by the special European Council on 1 September. This document will be discussed next Monday at the External Relations Council and appeals for the immediate continuation of negotiations with Russia for the conclusion of a new partnership agreement. Several member state, particularly Lithuania and Poland are opposed to it. (H.B./trans/rh)
