Véronique de Keyser criticises US raid in Syria

Brussels, 28/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - Véronique De Keyser MEP (Socialist, Belgium) will go to Syria on Friday 31 October for a three day visit. She described the raid in Syria carried out from bases in Iraq as “an unacceptable violation of Syria's territorial integrity” and said that she was “shocked that US forces dare to declare it as a success…How can a raid be spoken of as a success when half the victims are children? It is incredibly cynical”.
