04/08/2008 (Agence Europe) - With the transfer of responsibility for control of military radio frequency on Thursday 31 July, hitherto controlled by EUFOR (the European force in Bosnia-Herzegovina), the armed forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina have acquired new responsibilities. A memorandum of understanding confirming this transfer was signed on 31 July by the Deputy chief of Bosnia-Herzegovina's armed forces, General Slavko Puljic and EUFOR Althea commander, General Ignacio Martín Villalaín. This development means that Bosnian armed forces now have full control of the frequency spectrum (civil and military) for defence communication.
