Kiev slams European Neighbourhood Policy for serving no purpose whatsoever - Call for dialogue to be opened on abolition of visas

Brussels, 17/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) serves no purpose whatsoever for Ukraine whose ambitions of European integration are far above what the ENP is able to offer, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Yelisieiev. “The ENP does not have any advantage for Ukraine. For me, it does not even exist”, he told journalists after a negotiation meeting with the European Commission on the new EU/Ukraine agreement, on 16 July in Brussels (see EUROPE 9705)....
