Madrid hosts 19th World Petroleum Congress

Brussels, 27/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - From 29 June to 3 July 2008, Madrid will be hosting the 19th World Petroleum Congress (WPC), to be attended by EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, OPEC Secretary General Abdallah Salem El-Badri, the managing director of the International Energy Agency - Nobua Tanaka, and the heads of energy companies, including Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMobil, Conoco Phillips, Total, Repsol, Cespa, Pemex, CNOOC, Schlumberger and Petrobras. Russian energy companies Gazprom, Lukoil, Sourgoutneftegaz and Rosneft will also be sending representatives. (E.H./transl.fl)
