ESA to launch first call for expressions of interest for Galileo on 1 July

Brussels, 25/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - In order not to delay the launch of Galileo (the European satellite radio-navigation programme, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Commission have agreed that the first call for expressions of interest for applications of the system will be launched by the ESA on 1 July. Industry will have until mid-August to submit offers, and the outcome of the call will be announced at the end of August. The agreement reached does not, however, settle...
