Parliament speaks out against routine killing of civilians

Strasbourg, 23/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - In adopting the joint resolution by the EPP-ED, PES, ALDE, UEN, Greens and GUE/NGL Groups, in Strasbourg on 19 June, the European Parliament condemned the routine murders of civilians and the serious human rights violations committed by all parties in the conflict. It called on all sides immediately to cease all violations of international human rights and humanitarian law, and fully abide by the provisions of Common Article 3 of the Geneva...
