Launch of investigation into EU exports of B99 biodiesel

Brussels, 13/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 13 June 2008, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation into US exports of the B99 biodiesel mix suspected of receiving trade-distorting subsidies. European biodiesel manufacturers under the umbrella group EBB lodged a complaint to the department of EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson (see EUROPE 9652), which decided after an initial examination that enough elements exist to open a formal investigation of suspected...
