12/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a declaration published on Wednesday 11 June, the Slovenian Presidency of the EU stated that the arrest on 11 June in Belgrade of Stojan Zupljanin, one of the last four Serbian fugitives being pursued for war crimes in Bosnia-Herzegovina, constituted an “important step” towards full and entire cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Full cooperation with the latter is the final condition Serbia has to meet before the stabilisation and association agreement (SAA) signed in April, can be ratified by the EU27 and can enter into force.
