Brussels, 11/06/2008 (Agence Europe) -On Tuesday 10 June, the European Commission adopted a proposal to revise the 2002 regulation (no.1774) on the management of animal by-products (fats, bones and viscus from animals). These products may not enter the food chain, but can be used for industrial purposes. The text is to be adopted by the Council of Ministers of the EU and the European Parliament under the co-decision procedure.
