EP sets out guidelines on creation of internal market for retail financial services

Brussels, 05/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 5 June, the European Parliament adopted own-initiative reports by Othmar Karas (EPP-ED, Austria), who analyses the Green Paper on retail financial services, and by Gianni Pittella (PES, Italy) concerning the Commission's sector-specific inquiry in this sector (see EUROPE 9417 and 9356 respectively).
