27/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - The EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) met during the evening of Monday 26 May on the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs Council within the framework of the 18th session of their Joint Cooperation Council. The meeting allowed a broad overview of subjects of common interest (economic cooperation, energy, human rights, etc) and of the political situation in the region (Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, etc).
