Parliament supports European negotiation mandate on American visa exemption scheme

Brussels, 22/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - Following the debate at the previous plenary session on 23 April, Parliament, on Thursday 22 May, backed a draft resolution on negotiations between the EU and the United States on visa exemption (see EUROPE 9649). The matter will be discussed at the EU-United States summit on 12 June. All US citizens can now travel without a visa to any country of the European Union.
