16/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - EU Regional Policy Commissioner Danuta Hubner travelled to Sardinia, Italy, on Thursday 15 May 2008 at the invitation of Renato Soru, president of the region of Sardinia. She attended the launch of Sardinia's new Cohesion Policy Operational Programme for 2007-2013, with a full budget of around €1.8 bn, €681 million of which will be provided by the EU.
