Next ECOFIN Council to focus on financial services and taxation

Brussels, 08/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - EU finance ministers will adopt a raft of conclusions on Wednesday 14 May 2008 reflecting the debates they held at their council meeting in Brdo in early April (see EUROPE 9637), mainly on financial services and taxation issues. On the day before, Tuesday 13 May, Eurogroup will discuss the economic situation in the eurozone in the light of the European Commission's recent spring forecasts (see EUROPE 9652).
