28/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - Full application of the subsidiarity principle and further reduction of regulatory burden on SMEs, facilitation of their access to the Single Market and to public procurement, access to finance and to a skilled labour force, support for SMEs who wish to expand): these are some of the main results of the public consultation organised by the European Commission on the “Small Business Action” (SBA) for Europe. This initiative, whose proposals are expected in June or July, aim to stimulate growth potential and jobs in European SMEs (EUROPE 9643). More than 500 contributions have been sent, 56% of which are from companies (only 5% from public authorities). More than 120 contributions come from France, ahead of those from Germany (more than 80), the United Kingdom (80) and Italy (more than 60).
