Brussels, 10/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 10 April, the European Commission decided to allocate a further €12 million for all humanitarian aid actions in favour of populations affected by the SIDR cyclone that hit the south-west shore of Bangladesh on 15 November 2007 with winds of up to 240 km/hr.
The first priority of this new funding will focus on providing appropriate and adequate food assistance to the most vulnerable people. Some €8 million will be earmarked for food aid...
