Brussels, 10/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - In the fourth quarter of 2007, euro area GDP grew by 0.4% and EU27 GDP by 0.5% compared with the previous quarter, when growth was 0.7% and 0.8% respectively, Eurostat revealed on Wednesday 9 April. Slovakia (+3.3%) recorded the highest growth rate compared with the previous quarter, followed by Poland (+2.0%) and the Czech Republic (+1.7%). The fourth quarter was marked mainly by static private consumption and growth in investment and exports.
