10/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 9 April, the European Commission decided to appoint Irene Souka of Greece as deputy director-general for personnel and administration (DG ADMIN). Under the leadership of the director-general, she will be responsible for developing and implementing the Commission's strategy for managing its human resources, from recruitment to retirement and beyond.
