Italy taken to court of justice for failing to implement “Seveso directive”

Brussels, 03/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 3 April, the European Commission began infringement proceedings against several EU member states over environmental issues:

Seveso directive. The European Commission is bringing Italy before the European Court of Justice for failing to complete the process of drawing up emergency plans in case of major accidents for installations where hazardous substances are present.
