02/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 2 April 2008, the Commission decided today not to raise any objections to the 1.3 billion Polish zlotys (approximately €350 million) that Poland is planning to grant to its coal industry for the years 2008 to 2010. The state aid aims to cover the restructuring costs of the coal mines resulting from administrative, legal or tax provisions and the labour costs associated with the financing of staff reductions.
