28/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) and the Federation Internationale des Ligues des Droits de l'Homme (FIDH) is organising a debate at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 4 April on 'Reporting on Torture in the Context of the War on Terrorism', sponsored by Carlos Coelho MEP (EPP-ED, Portugal), chair of the EP's temporary committee on CIA secret rendition in Europe. Speakers include Dick Marty, Council of Europe rapporteur on CIA rendition investigations and Steven Everts, advisor to Javier Solana, EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy.
