Brussels, 25/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - In the lead-up to World Water Day on Saturday 22 March, the European Environmental Bureau (EEB) and Portuguese environmental protection organisations Almargem, Aldeia, COAGRET-Portugal, Euronatura, FAPAS, FNCA, GEOTA, Grupo Flamingo, LPN, Quercus and SPEA sent a letter to the president of the European Commission, José-Manuel Barroso, criticising Lisbon's plan to build 12 new hydro-electric plants.
