Brussels, 20/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - The Council of European Professional and Managerial Staff (Eurocadres) and the European Council of the Liberal Professions (CEPLIS) have decided to pool their experience in carrying out a unique professional card project, a joint press release published on 15 February announces. The project respects the line of conduct established by the directive on recognition of professional qualifications (Directive 2005/36/EC). The transnational system for the observation of professional qualifications will allow better recognition in the various European countries of training and professional experience, the two organisations explain. The project aims to achieve a high quality single labour market, complying with the spirit of the objectives of the Lisbon strategy, the councils note. (G.B.)
