18/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 15 February the Commission gave the green light to sole control of Northgate Information Solutions (NIS) of the UK by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, L.P (KKR) of the US. The latter is a private equity fund. Northgate provides software, outsourcing and information technology services to the human resources, local government, education and public safety market sectors. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (C.D)
