Brussels, 29/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - As part of the European Sustainable Energy Week, CECODHAS (the European Liaison Committee for Social Housing) is holding a conference on “Housing and the European Energy Transition” in Brussels on Wednesday 30 January. The focus will be on three issues: (1) cutting energy and increasing the use of renewable energy; (2) tackling obstacles; (3) ensuring sustainability through transparency, accessibility and empowerment of citizens in a liberalised energy market. Among the speakers will be Claude Turmes (Greens/EFA, Luxemburg), Robert Goebbels (PES, Luxemburg) and Alejo Vidal Quadras (EPP-ED, Spain), Joël Decaillon, Confederal Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and Ludo Horemans, President of the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN).
