29/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - MEP Sarah Ludford (ALDE, UK) has recently written to Commissioner Franco Frattini to ask him to urgently investigate the UK's compliance with European data protection law, particularly after a Royal Navy officer had his laptop computer, containing the marital and family status and passport information of 600,000 British citizens. Given the number of such breaches in the United Kingdom, Baroness Ludford also asks Frattini about the Commission's “ambitious”...
