Brussels, 29/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - At a meeting in Brussels on Tuesday 29 January 2008, EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson and Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Timoshenko agreed to enter negotiations over a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) between the EU and Ukraine 'as soon as possible' after the ratification by the World Trade Organisation's General Council on 5 February 2008 of Ukraine's membership of the WTO.
