Guy Verhofstadt disapproves of mini-summit to be held between four member states about financial crisis

Brussels, 14/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - The Belgian Prime Minister, Guy Verhofstadt, spoke out on 12 January against the meeting on the financial crisis to be held in London on 29 January, between Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. This meeting will allow these four member states to continue their reflection with a view to putting together a joint response to the turbulence which has been prevalent on the financial markets since last summer (see EUROPE 9576).
